The Global Foundation for Transgender Rights Protection (GTRP Foundation) is implementing the project “Empowering Inclusive Elections in Armenia” under a subgrant provided by Equal Rights and Independent Media (ERIM). The project aims to promote the safe and meaningful participation of transgender and non-binary people in Armenia’s 2026 parliamentary elections by countering hate speech and strengthening civic engagement.
As part of the project, media monitoring of election-related hate speech is being conducted, awareness-raising videos are being produced and disseminated, and training workshops are being organized in Yerevan, Gyumri, and Vanadzor to strengthen the knowledge of transgender and non-binary people on electoral rights, safe participation, and civic engagement.
The project is implemented with the support of Equal Rights and Independent Media (ERIM) under the ProElect programme, funded by the European Union.
