The Global Foundation for Trans Rights Protection, having received a grant from the International Trans Fund (ITF) under the program “Strengthening the Fund’s Team Capabilities,” organized 14 meetings over the course of a year for transgender LGBTQ+ people, their allies, and parents living in Armenia, as well as for Russian and Ukrainian members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Topics discussed included: the safety and well-being of transgender people, human rights, strengthening the trans movement in the region, the impact of conflicts and crises on the lives of transgender people, the situation of transgender people within families, and issues related to hate speech, stigmatization, and discrimination.
