On June 5, we celebrated World Environment Day with the theme “Reimagine, Recreate, Restore,” which encouraged us to rethink our actions to protect our planet.
This year, we highlighted the essential role of transgender youth in environmental advocacy, recognizing their unique perspectives and leadership. Through community initiatives like clean-ups and recycling programs, we fostered a sense of collective care and responsibility.
We also shared a video connecting climate justice and gender equality, made possible by the Urgent Action Fund. Many joined us in watching and spreading the message!
Participants engaged by taking part in local initiatives, supporting transgender youth, and reflecting on their habits’ impact on the environment. Together, we created meaningful change and celebrated unity for a sustainable future!
