The GTRP Foundation is seeking a highly qualified Advocacy Expert to contribute to the development and implementation of a regional training conference aimed at empowering Trans and LGBIQ+ activists across the South Caucasus. This project is designed to strengthen local and regional trans rights movements through tailored education, advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agenda Development: Design a comprehensive training agenda focused on advocacy strategies, human rights education, and related thematic areas relevant to Trans and LGBIQ+ activism in the South Caucasus.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct a thorough needs assessment before and after the training program to identify priorities, areas for improvement, and additional support required by participating activists and organizations.
- Content Design and Delivery: Develop training materials and resources to support advocacy efforts, ensuring they are contextually relevant and accessible.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Capacity Building Trainer and the GTRP Foundation team to ensure coherence and effectiveness throughout the training process.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports assessing the effectiveness of the training and providing recommendations for future initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in advocacy, particularly related to human rights and LGBTIQ+ issues.
- Familiarity with the socio-political context of the South Caucasus and the specific challenges faced by Trans and LGBIQ+ communities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and inclusive environment.
