Open Call for Applications: Capacity Building Trainer for Regional Training

he GTRP Foundation is looking for an experienced Capacity Building Trainer to lead educational and skill-building sessions as part of a regional training conference dedicated to Trans and LGBIQ+ activists from the South Caucasus. This initiative aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and resilience of local activists to strengthen their movements and promote human rights advocacy.

Position: Capacity Building Trainer

Location: Remote, with potential travel to Armenia for the training event (May 3–6, 2025).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Design and Facilitation: Develop and facilitate interactive workshops on topics including advocacy skills, community organizing, legal literacy, and self-care strategies for activists.
  • Curriculum Development: Create a robust and practical training curriculum that addresses the specific needs and challenges of Trans and LGBIQ+ communities in the South Caucasus.
  • Participant Support: Provide mentorship and guidance throughout the training process, fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the Advocacy Expert and the GTRP Foundation team to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all training components.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Assess the progress of participants and provide detailed recommendations for further capacity-building efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in capacity-building, training facilitation, and curriculum development, preferably within the context of human rights or LGBTIQ+ advocacy.
  • Knowledge of the South Caucasus region and the specific socio-political challenges affecting Trans and LGBIQ+ activists.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible training environment.
