Over the past months, the Global Foundation for Trans Rights Protection (GTRP) organized a series of empowerment workshops for trans and non-binary people in Yerevan, Gyumri, and Vanadzor.
The workshops aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge of electoral rights, voter registration, safe participation in elections, and community advocacy. The sessions also explored topics related to inclusion, responding to hate speech, and promoting safe and meaningful civic participation.
A total of 90 trans and non-binary participants took part in the workshops, gaining practical knowledge, sharing experiences, and discussing challenges affecting their communities and possible ways to address them. The workshops also provided a safe and supportive space for peer learning, collaboration, and strengthening community connections.
GTRP remains committed to advancing the rights of trans and non-binary people by implementing initiatives that promote empowerment, equal participation, and meaningful inclusion in public life.
