The GTRP Foundation, with the financial support of Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Rights, organized the “Civil Rights for Environmental and Climate Justice” academy for LGBTQI people and their allies, which was attended by people from the capital Yerevan and other regions of Armenia.

Garbage sorting and waste.
Self care and collective care.
The role of LGBTIQ people in the establishment of environmental protection and gender justice.
Advocacy and strategic communication skills.
The opening of the course was carried out by the executive director of the foundation, Kuka Kasyan, who spoke about the goals and actions of the Foundation.
The experts gave the participants long-lasting knowledge through both individual and group work and exercises
As a result of the academy, twenty LGBTQI people and allies gained knowledge about environmental protection, waste sorting, responsible use of resources and environmental protection.
The course was accompanied by heated discussions. A number of interesting and educational games on environmental protection, ecology and other topics were organized. The participants gave all their questions to the experts and received satisfactory answers.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to carry out garbage removal works, tree planting in Yerevan and different regions of Armenia, prepare a social video and posters.
